Justice to hard on the young?
Should our justice system be harder on our younger generation? No, I don't think so. In my opinion a criminal is a criminal regardless of his gender or age. People should pay for their mistake period.
It is true that giving adult condemnation to young criminal might be a little excessive, but has to be consequence for people action regardless of how old they are. I believe that the criminal sentence for young criminal are not hard enough. They should get more than just a slap on the wrist a criminal sentence is suppose to teach you not to do it again. Having grown up around former and future criminal. I know how laughable the think the sentence on young people really are. after all they end up with a clean slate has soon has they turn 18, so why the worry's right?
No, I think that the fact that there is or not an increase in the number of crime committed by young has noting to do with the question about if should es or not increase the severity of the sentence given to such criminal. I think that I should be about scaring them out of doing it and teaching those that did not to do it ever again.
Yes it is true that some of them may come out with better criminal connection or just become more incline to do it but this is also the case for their adult counterpart and we don't see them getting lighter sentences are we? If we want to prevent young crime we have to start at the root witch mean to educate the younger generations that their are alternative to crime especially if we know for a fact that they come from a broken home or some other place unfit for a child.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that they should be harsher treatment for young criminal but in my opinion the real solution would be to help the children that have more chance to end up as criminal before it is to late for them.
